There are two ways to obtain Navajo Studies Conference membership. Membership is granted to an individual who pays the conference fee at a Navajo Studies Conference usually held in the fall or spring, which covers membership up to the next conference. The second way to obtain membership is to pay the membership fee of $15 at any time. Membership fee of $15 can be paid to the Navajo Studies Conference, Inc. at NSC address with a Money Order or certified check. Personal check will not be accepted.

The cornerstone of membership is the participation of the annual Navajo Studies Conference, which often is packed with thought-provoking, memorable seminars, presentations, arts, and dialogue. The conference provides experts, intellects, and practitioners an opportunity to display and discuss their research, analysis, and debate. Participants gain knowledge of concepts and ideas applicable to Navajo life and leave the conference with a better understanding of Navajo life in government, business, culture, language, and philosophy. Other benefits include access to reasonably-priced Navajo Studies documents, reports, and posters. Most importantly, the benefit of networking with Navajo professionals and practitioners in various disciplines is priceless!

Because the Board intends to facilitate with co-sponsors new one-day symposiums as well as continue the conferences, the Board has to revisit the idea of membership fees.  Any new, updated information will be posted here. 

In the past, NSC relied solely on fees from membership and conferences, as well as working closely with local sponsors for institutional funding support. NSC also hosted Silent Auctions at conferences to raise some funds. Looking forward, the Board is planning to institute a Fundraising Campaign to strengthen NSC's financial base.

Currently, NSC offers conference papers in book form or on CD for nominal costs. Please contact NSC for more information. NSC offers T-shirts for sale only during symposiums and conferences.

For example, if ordering Volume 1 Book, Volume 2 Set and Volume 3 CD, the cost for this order would be $70. Add $15 for order for Total Cost of $85. A money order of $85 would be made for this order.

NSC owns copyright on all Books and CDs. Do not redistribute any section or whole of the Books or CDs without written permission by NSC. Please contact NSC first to order any periodical or CD.
