Interested in Being a NSC Board of Director?
Want to be a part of a very effective team that promotes Navajo studies? Seven (7) positions are available for new Board of Directors for the Navajo Studies Conference, Inc. for a term lasting three conferences. Board of Directors are expected to attend all meetings, become familiar with Navajo Nation Human Subjects Review Board guidelines for research, and volunteer to take charge of various duties, responsibilities, and assignments. The Board meets about four to six times a year; meetings are held at different locations in and around Navajo land. More meetings are usually held to plan, execute, and manage symposiums and conferences. The election will be held at the 19th Navajo Studies Conference, March 14-17, 2012, at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
